Marco V., Lead Technician
Marco has been with Mason Remodeling for eleven years, starting as an apprentice and working his way up to lead technician on whole-home remodels throughout Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, and Pinecrest. He holds certifications in both Schluter waterproofing systems and Cambria quartz fabrication, which means he’s the one you want doing a curbless shower or a waterfall island edge. Marco has a habit of sketching out load-bearing changes on whatever scrap of cardboard is nearby. His handwriting is terrible, but his measurements never miss. When he’s not on a job site, he’s fishing off Key Biscayne and claiming the tarpon were bigger than they were.
Lena R., Senior Installer
Lena joined the crew in 2016 after spending eight years doing high-end kitchen and bath work up and down the East Coast. She’s our go-to for complicated tile layouts, custom cabinetry installation, and the kind of finish work that shows up in photos. Lena is certified in Toto and Kohler fixture installation and knows the quirks of Miami’s older condo buildings better than most inspectors do. She keeps a small notebook of every job she’s worked on, with sketches of the before and after. If you ask her about a specific house she did three years ago in Shenandoah, she’ll flip to the page without hesitation. Off the clock, she restores mid-century furniture and complains about Miami humidity ruining wood veneer.
Danny T., Service Coordinator
Danny is the voice you’ll hear when you call (850) 780-8123. He’s been coordinating Mason Remodeling projects in Miami for six years and has an encyclopedic memory for material lead times, permit office hours, and which subs are reliable in August. Danny handles scheduling, city permit paperwork for Miami-Dade County, and the written price you receive before any work starts. He’s the one who sends you the photo and name of the technician coming to your home, a step he takes seriously because he’s the one who takes the call if something feels off. Danny grew up in Hialeah, speaks fluent Spanish, and can tell you which permit window at the county office moves fastest on a Tuesday morning.
Andre S., Apprentice
Andre is in his second year with us, learning under Marco and Lena on bathroom remodels and smaller general contracting jobs across Miami. He came to us from a trade program at Miami Dade College and already has his OSHA 10 certification. Andre handles a lot of the demo work, material staging, and job site cleanup, and he’s earned a reputation for showing up early and asking smart questions. He’s also the crew’s designated lunch-order coordinator, which carries more responsibility than the title suggests. On weekends, Andre plays pickup basketball at Tropical Park and is saving up for his own set of professional-grade tile tools.
