Tremron Home Additions & ADU: The Miami Owner’s Guide
If you’re planning a Tremron home addition or ADU in Miami, the installed cost typically runs between $53,100 and $153,400 depending on square footage, site conditions, and whether you’re building up or out. Mason Remodeling Co Miami handles the full scope: foundation and slab work, framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, and finishes, all priced in writing before we start. Most homeowners first realize they need us when their existing Tremron patio or paver base starts shifting under the weight of a new addition, or when they’re ready to expand but aren’t sure what their lot will actually allow.

We’re an independent Miami contractor, not affiliated with Tremron, but we work with their pavers and hardscape products regularly. Tremron manufactures concrete pavers, retaining wall blocks, and hardscape materials right here in Florida, and their products show up in driveways, pool decks, and patio bases all over Miami-Dade. When an addition or ADU needs to tie into existing Tremron hardscape, or when your new build requires hardscape that matches what you already have, we know the product tolerances and the failure points.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron’s catalog is broad, but for home additions and ADU work in Miami, three product lines matter most. Belgard-compatible patio pavers (Tremron’s Olde Towne, Mega Olde Towne, and Holland Stone series) are the ones we see under pool decks and existing patios that get partially demoed during an addition. Retaining wall blocks (Tremron’s Diamond and Rockwood series) show up where Miami lot slopes demand terracing before a slab can go in. And Driveway pavers (Tremron’s Stonehurst and Bullnose series) get pulled and reset when a garage conversion or ADU changes the driveway approach.
The compatibility gotcha with Tremron: their paver dimensions are metric, not nominal. A “standard” 6×9 Tremron paver actually runs closer to 6.1 inches by 9.2 inches with a 3-1/8 inch thickness on most driveway-rated lines. If you’re matching existing hardscape, guessing wrong means visible seams and a mismatched pattern that looks like a patch job. We measure every existing paver on site and order the exact series and color lot, not a “close enough” substitute.

Signs Your Tremron Home Additions & ADU Is Failing
- Paver edges lifting near the foundation line. Miami’s rain season saturates the sand base, and if the original compaction wasn’t right, the pavers start rising against the new slab and cracking at the edges.
- Visible sink lines across the patio or driveway. That’s usually base erosion from a leaking irrigation line or a downspout that discharges too close to the hardscape. The paver surface drops in a straight depression, and water pools in the same spot every storm.
- Retaining wall blocks shifting outward. Hydrostatic pressure builds up behind a wall that lacks proper drainage. In Miami, where the water table sits high, a wall without a gravel backfill and weep holes will start leaning within a few years.
- Cracks running through multiple pavers in a row. Isolated cracks are load-related. A crack that runs through six or eight pavers in a line usually means the base under that section failed, and you’re looking at a tear-out rather than a spot replacement.
- Sand surfacing between joints after every rain. Polymeric sand degrades over time in Miami’s heat and humidity. Once it washes out repeatedly, weeds and ants move in, and the pavers begin to loosen laterally.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

A full home addition in Miami lands between $53,100 and $153,400. An ADU runs higher, $106,200 to $259,600, because you’re adding a kitchen or kitchenette, bathroom, separate utility connections, and often a separate entrance. A garage conversion sits in the middle at $35,400 to $94,400.
What drives the range in Miami specifically: lot access for equipment, whether your existing slab can be tied into or needs full replacement, wind-load requirements for new roof framing, and which city or county inspector handles your permit (Miami, Coral Gables, Hialeah, and unincorporated Dade all move at different speeds). Every Mason Remodeling Co Miami quote includes the written price before work starts, a line-item breakdown of materials and labor, and our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if anything isn’t right within a year from the completion date, we fix it at no cost to you.
Cost drivers at a glance:
- Foundation and slab work: $8,260 – $21,240 (paver driveway-style base prep runs lower; full poured foundation runs higher)
- Framing and roofing for a standard addition: $17,700 – $47,200 depending on roof type and wind-load engineering
- Impact windows for new builds: $9,440 – $29,500 (required in most Miami-Dade zones)
- Hardscape tie-in to existing Tremron pavers: $4,130 – $12,980 for a patio-grade reset or new install
DIY or Call Us?
Hardscape resetting and ADU construction are very different beasts. If you have a few loose Tremron pavers near your addition and a functioning base, you can lift, re-sand, and reset them with basic tools. That’s a Saturday project.
Anything involving slab work, new load-bearing framing, electrical, plumbing, or a retaining wall over three feet tall is not a DIY job. Miami-Dade’s building code has wind-load and flood-plain requirements that will fail your inspection if they’re not engineered properly. Isaac Pruett has spent well over a decade working Miami neighborhoods, including Coconut Grove, and he’ll tell you straight: the tear-outs we do most often are from homeowners who tried to save money on the base layer. Call (850) 780-8123 and we’ll look at your site. Estimates are free, and the price we give you is the price you pay.
FAQs

A properly compacted Tremron paver base in Miami lasts 15 to 25 years, but the surface layer usually needs re-leveling or joint sand every 5 to 8 years because of our rain season and high water table. If the base was poorly compacted originally, you’ll see failures within the first 3 years. Call (850) 780-8123 and we’ll check the base, not just the surface.
Usually yes. If the pavers themselves are intact, we can lift them, re-compact or replace the base layer, and reset them. Full replacement is only needed when the pavers are cracked through or the base has eroded beyond saving. We’ll tell you which one you need before any work starts.
For a typical Miami project that ties into existing Tremron hardscape, the paver reset or new install takes 2 to 5 working days. A full ADU from slab to finish is a 4 to 8 month project depending on permitting. We’ll put the schedule in writing with your quote.
We order Tremron pavers per job to match your existing series, color, and lot number. We also work with KraftMaid cabinetry, Cambria and Silestone countertops, and other specification-grade brands throughout the addition if your project includes interior finishes. Matching existing hardscape means ordering, not guessing, and that’s what we do every time.
Tell me what you need done. I’ll tell you what it costs and when it’s finished – and I’ll mean both.
