Silestone Bathroom Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide
Silestone bathroom remodeling in Miami typically costs between $10,620 and $33,040 installed, depending on surface area, edge profiles, sink cutouts, and whether we’re replacing a failing countertop or doing a full vanity and shower surround. Most Silestone vanity replacements are completed in two to three working days once the slab is selected, and we keep the most common Silestone edge profiles and sink templates in our Miami shop. You’ll usually discover the problem the same way: a hairline crack spreading from the sink cutout, a dull patch that won’t polish back, or an edge chip that catches the light every time you walk past.

If your Silestone top has cracked, delaminated, or been damaged by a dropped hair dryer or a shifting vanity, the fix is rarely a patch. The useful repair is a proper template, a correct slab match, and a clean install that respects the Silestone warranty math below.
Which Silestone Models This Applies To

We work with the full current Silestone catalog, including the Loft, Eternal, and Sunlit Days series, plus the classic Suede and polished finishes that are still all over Miami condos from the 2010s. The catch most people don’t know: Silestone’s color codes change by series and year, and a “White Zeus” top from 2016 is not always the same dye lot as one ordered today. That matters when you’re replacing one vanity top and want it to match the shower curb or the adjacent linen shelf. Before we quote, we’ll pull the fabricator label from the underside of the slab if it’s visible, or measure the thickness and edge profile to identify the exact series.
One compatibility gotcha unique to Silestone: older tops are most commonly 1.2 cm (about ½ inch) laminated to a build-up edge, while newer Miami installations run 2 cm or 3 cm (about ¾ to 1¼ inches) full-thickness slab. They use different sink mounting methods. If your original is 1.2 cm and we install a 3 cm slab, the reveal height changes and sometimes the faucet shank length does too. We check all of that before we cut. For the OEM-versus-aftermarket decision: Silestone is a quartz product from Cosentino, and there is no such thing as a true aftermarket Silestone slab. What exists is lookalike quartz from other manufacturers. If you want actual Silestone, the slab comes from Cosentino distribution. If you want a visual match at lower cost, we can show you comparable Caesarstone or Cambria slabs side by side. Mason Remodeling Co Miami is an independent contractor, not a Silestone dealer or affiliate, so our recommendation is based on what fits your bathroom and your budget, not a brand quota.

Signs Your Silestone Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Hairline crack radiating from the sink cutout. The two front corners of an undermount sink are the highest-moment points on any Silestone top. If the cabinet below settled or the original installer over-torqued the sink clips, that’s where the crack starts. Once it runs, water follows it and the substrate swells behind it.
- Dull or etched patches near the faucet deck. Silestone does not etch like marble, so a dull white cloud usually means the polishing layer has been scrubbed off by years of abrasive cleaners, or someone tried to remove a stain with the wrong chemical. The surface is not coming back. It gets worse with every scrub.
- Loose or rattling undermount sink. The adhesive bond between sink flange and stone has failed, or the mechanical clips were under-spec for a 2 cm top. In Miami humidity, we see a lot of clips rusting inside the cabinet, and the sink slowly drops a millimeter or two every year.
- Chipped front edge. A 3 cm Silestone edge is tough, but a dropped glass bottle against a square polish edge wins every time. Once the chip exposes aggregate below the surface color, the only real fix is re-polishing the entire edge or replacing the top.
- Dark staining along seams or around the sink. Silestone is non-porous, so persistent dark mocha or gray staining means the seam itself is pulling apart, or the silicone seal between stone and sink has failed and mold is growing inside the joint. The joint is the problem, not the stone.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

A Silestone vanity top replacement in Miami runs roughly $2,360 to $7,670 for the top itself, fabricated and installed on a standard 48-to-72-inch vanity. A full Silestone bathroom remodel, which usually means the vanity top plus slab shower walls, a slab or matching curb, and sometimes a matching tub deck or shelf, lands between $10,620 and $33,040 depending on slab square footage, wall height, and how much prep work the old enclosure leaves behind. The variables that push you toward the top of that range are full-height slab shower surrounds, mitered rather than eased edges, multiple sink cutouts, and any wall straightening or rot repair beneath the existing tile.
Every quote from us is a written line-item price. You’ll see the slab cost, fabrication, cutouts, edge profile, plumbing disconnect and reconnect, haul-away of the old top, and the exact day we expect to finish. If the scope changes, we price the change in writing before more work happens. And every Silestone bathroom project is covered by the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if anything about the install is not right within a year of the completion date, we return and make it right at no cost to you.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely do the detective work yourself: read the label under the slab, measure the thickness with a tape, check whether the cabinet face is pulling away from the wall, and take photos of the crack or chip. That evidence helps us quote it accurately over the phone. But the physical work of removing and reinstalling a Silestone top is not a DIY job for most Miami homes. A 3 cm slab top for a 72-inch double vanity weighs over 250 pounds. It’s siliconed to the cabinet, the sink is mechanically clipped and caulked, and the faucet plumbing has to come apart before the stone moves and go back exactly right after. Drop the slab, crack the new one during the sink cutout because the template shifted, or over-tighten the clips and put the exact same stress point back into the stone, and the “saved” labor cost becomes a new countertop cost.
What we advise: if the fail is a popped seam or a loose sink, have a professional re-set it before water damage spreads. If the stone itself is cracked or chipped, that’s a replacement. Call us at (850) 780-8123 and we’ll walk through what you’re seeing. Isaac Pruett reads every job summary that comes through, so the number you get is the number he’d quote standing in your bathroom.
FAQs

Silestone should last the life of the bathroom when installed correctly. In Miami’s humidity, the stone itself will not fail; the failure we see at year 10 to 15 is almost always the seam, the sink adhesive, or the cabinet underneath moving. Stone doesn’t rot, but everything attached to it does.
A hairline crack can sometimes be stabilized by a fabricator who drills a stop hole, fills the crack with color-matched adhesive, and reinforces the underside, but the fix is cosmetic, not structural, and it shortens the top’s useful life. If the crack runs through the sink cutout corner, replacement is usually the honest answer. Call us at (850) 780-8123 and send a photo; we’ll tell you which one you have.
A single vanity top replacement is typically templated on day one, fabricated in two to five business days while the slab comes from the distributor, and installed in half a day. A full shower surround and vanity project runs one to two weeks, most of which is slab fabrication and material lead time. We publish the expected calendar days on your written quote before any money changes hands.
We keep common edge samples and sink templates in the shop, but not full slabs. Slabs are ordered per project from Cosentino distribution in Doral, typically arriving within days. We’ll also show you equivalent KraftMaid cabinetry, Cambria or Caesarstone slabs, and Kohler fixtures in the same planning session, so the whole bathroom gets priced at once. Call (850) 780-8123 for a free estimate; the quote is in writing and the number on the quote is the number on the final invoice.
