Mr-Glass Kitchen Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide
We stock, replace, and install Mr-Glass kitchen remodeling components across Miami, with full kitchen remodels typically running $16,520 – $53,100 depending on cabinetry, countertop material, and layout changes. If you’ve got a failed Mr-Glass cabinet hinge, a cracked pantry glass panel, a delaminating drawer face, or a countertop that’s separated from its substrate, we can match the part and have your kitchen functional again, usually within one to two visits. Most Miami owners discover the failure the same way: a drawer starts dragging, a cabinet door won’t stay closed, or the glass insert shifts in its frame after a humid summer. In Miami’s climate, adhesives and composite materials fail faster than they do anywhere else in the country, and Mr-Glass components are no exception.

Which Mr-Glass Models This Applies To
Mr-Glass manufactured several line series for kitchen applications over the years, and the compatibility issue that trips up most Miami homeowners is frame depth. The older Mr-Glass Classic and ClearView cabinet lines used a 3/4-inch face-frame profile, while the later Mr-Glass Euro series moved to frameless 5/8-inch construction. A hinge or glass panel from one will not seat correctly on the other. Before you order anything, open a cabinet door and measure the stile width with a tape measure. If it’s 3/4 inch, you have a Classic or ClearView box. If it’s 5/8 inch with no visible face frame, you have a Euro. On cabinet interiors, Mr-Glass stamped a two-letter series code on the upper hinge plate: “CL” for Classic, “CV” for ClearView, “EU” for Euro. If the stamp is worn off, measure the hinge cup diameter, 35mm means Classic-era hardware, 26mm means Euro. We keep OEM Mr-Glass hinges, drawer slides, and glass inserts in stock for all three series, and for discontinued hardware we’ve had good results with Blum and Salice aftermarket equivalents that match the original mounting footprint.

Signs Your Mr-Glass Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Cabinet door drift or sag: The hinge spring has fatigued, and in Miami’s salt air the metal loses tension faster than inland. You’ll notice the door hangs a few degrees lower than its neighbor, or won’t stay closed against the cabinet frame.
- Glass panel rattle inside the frame: The rubber gasket that holds the Mr-Glass insert has dried and shrunk. Left alone, the glass will chip against the metal channel and eventually crack.
- Drawer slides grinding or sticking: The ball bearings in the original Mr-Glass slide have corroded, common in Miami homes without central A/C in the kitchen or with heavy cooking humidity. The drawer will start to feel like it’s rolling over sand.
- Countertop edge separation from the substrate: Mr-Glass used a proprietary adhesive bond on some composite tops, and after enough wet-dry cycles the edge lifts. Water gets in, the substrate swells, and the problem accelerates.
- Door or drawer face delaminating at the corners: The laminate or thermofoil peels back where steam from the dishwasher vents hit it. This is the most common Mr-Glass failure we see in Coconut Grove and Brickell kitchens with dishwasher placements at the end of a run.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
For isolated part replacement, expect to pay $125 – $400 per cabinet hinge set or drawer slide including labor, and $180 – $650 for a glass insert replacement depending on size and tint. If the damage is widespread, or if you’re replacing enough parts that a minor refresh makes sense, a small kitchen remodel in Miami runs $10,620 – $23,600 and a full kitchen remodel $16,520 – $53,100. Every quote we give is a written price before work starts, not a verbal estimate that grows later. We itemize parts and labor separately, so you know what the Mr-Glass component costs and what our time costs. The 365-Day Done Right Promise applies here: if the part or our installation fails within a year of the completion date, we return at no charge and make it right.
DIY or Call Us?
If your Mr-Glass cabinet door is sagging, you can safely tighten the hinge screws and check whether the mounting plate has pulled away from the frame. That’s a five-minute fix with a screwdriver, and if it works, you’re done. What you should not attempt is glass insert removal. The Mr-Glass channel system holds tempered glass under tension, and prying at the wrong corner sends shards into your hands and across the kitchen floor. We’ve made more than one Miami service call where a homeowner’s “gentle wiggle” turned into a shattered panel and a cut finger. If the glass is cracked, rattling, or seated awkwardly, call us at (850) 780-8123. We’ll bring the correct replacement and have it swapped in under an hour.
FAQs

In Miami’s heat and humidity, expect 8 – 12 years from Mr-Glass hinges and drawer slides, and 15+ years from the glass panels themselves. The hardware fails first, especially in kitchens without a working range hood or with direct afternoon sun on the cabinetry. Call (850) 780-8123 for an exact assessment, estimates are free.
Hinges and slides generally need replacement once they’ve corroded or fatigued, but delaminating door faces can often be re-bonded if the substrate is still sound. The repair decision depends on how far the damage has spread. We’ll tell you straight whether a repair buys you years or just months, and give you a written price either way.
Hinge and slide replacement runs 1 – 3 hours for most kitchens, and a glass insert swap takes under an hour once we’re on site. If multiple parts need replacement, we schedule a single visit and bring everything the job requires.
We keep OEM Mr-Glass hinges, slides, and glass inserts for the Classic, ClearView, and Euro series on our service vehicles, and we can source discontinued parts within a few days. For kitchens using other brands, we stock KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone components as well. Call (850) 780-8123 and tell us the series code from your hinge plate, we’ll confirm availability before you schedule anything.
Mason Remodeling Co Miami is an independent service provider and is not affiliated with Mr-Glass. We replace Mr-Glass components because Miami homeowners keep asking us to, and we’d rather fix a kitchen correctly than watch another homeowner get talked into a full replacement they don’t need. Isaac Pruett has been reading job sites in South Florida for more than a decade, and his approach hasn’t changed: tell us what you need done, we’ll tell you what it costs and when it’s finished, and we’ll mean both. If a repair fails within 365 days of the completion date, we return at no charge. A live person answers every call, around the clock. Call (850) 780-8123 for a free estimate.
