Dvele Driveway & Pavers: The Miami Owner’s Guide
Dvele driveway and paver work in Miami typically runs $8,260 to $21,240 installed depending on square footage, paver grade, and whether we’re repairing a section or replacing the full run. We stock Dvele-compatible pavers and can usually have a crew out within a few days, not weeks. Most owners discover a problem the same way: a paver sinks after a heavy rain, a corner starts crumbling, or water pools against the home’s foundation where the driveway slope has failed. Dvele homes are built tight and efficient, but the hardscape around them still fights Miami’s heat, humidity, and the way our limestone base shifts over time.

We’re an independent service provider, not affiliated with Dvele. But we’ve worked on enough of their properties across Miami to know exactly what their owners deal with.
Which Dvele Models This Applies To

Dvele homes in Miami don’t ship with a single universal driveway spec. We see rectangular concrete pavers most often on newer builds, while some of the earlier South Florida Dvele projects used a larger-format paver with a textured surface that’s been discontinued, which is the first compatibility gotcha. If you have the older textured format and need a patch, we can’t source the exact match. We’ll tell you that on the phone before you spend a dime. The newer Dvele models use a standard 3-piece modular paver system, 80mm thick, which we keep in the truck in the three common Miami colorways: sand, charcoal, and a blended terracotta.
Here’s how to identify what you have: pull up one paver from the edge and check the underside for a stamped code. Dvele pavers carry a four-digit batch number on the bottom-right corner. Send us a photo of it along with the paver’s width in millimeters, and we can tell you if it’s a current production run, a discontinued series, or a generic modular paver that was specified by the original landscaper. For aftermarket replacements, we use Belgaard and Techo-Bloc equivalents that match Dvele’s color range within one shade, and we’ll show you the comparison before we lay a single piece.

Signs Your Dvele Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Pooling water against the garage door or foundation edge. The base course under the pavers has compacted unevenly, usually where Miami’s rain season saturated the limestone. This is the earliest warning sign and the cheapest to fix.
- A paver sinks six inches or more in one spot. We see this at the curb cut most often, where garbage trucks and delivery vans roll over the corner. The sub-base was likely too thin there, and now it’s compacting fast.
- Crumbling edges or pavers that crack when you walk on them. Miami’s salt air and UV eat the surface sealer faster than most manufacturers admit. Once the sealer fails, water gets into the paver pores and spalling begins within two years.
- Weeds or ants pushing up between joints. The joint sand has washed out or was never dense enough. Ants in particular will hollow out the sand beneath pavers in our climate, causing a wobble that gets worse every month.
- A shifting paver line against the house. The driveway is creeping outward because the edge restraint wasn’t pinned correctly. This is common on Dvele homes built during wet winters, when the base never fully dried before the pavers went down.

- New road-base gravel, compacted to spec: $2,360 to $4,720 for a standard two-car driveway
- Pavers and edge restraints: $4,130 to $12,980 depending on grade and color

DIY or Call Us?
Here’s the honest split. You can safely check drainage by looking at where water sits after a Miami downpour, and you can spot-clean a stained paver with a mild detergent and a stiff brush. What you should not do is lift and reset sunken pavers yourself. The base material beneath a failed section is often saturated and unstable, which means you can’t just add sand and call it level. The fix is pulling the section, re-compacting the sub-base, and relaying with proper edge restraint. Do that wrong and you’ll have a second failure in the same spot within one wet season. If the damage runs to the foundation line or you see ants, that’s a base failure, not a surface problem.
If you’d rather not dig out pavers in 90-degree humidity, call (850) 780-8123. We’ll come look, tell you exactly what’s underneath, and give you a written number. FAQs

Expect 20 to 25 years from the pavers themselves, but the base beneath them and the surface sealer won’t last that long in Miami’s climate. Plan on resealing every 3 to 5 years and correcting base settlement within the first decade. Call (850) 780-8123 for a free condition check.
Yes, if it’s a single cracked paver with a stable base, we can cut it out and swap in a matching paver same-day, usually for under $295. If the crack is accompanied by sinking or shifting, the base has failed and a spot repair won’t hold. Call (850) 780-8123 for an exact quote – estimates are free.
A standard two-car driveway replacement takes 3 to 5 working days, weather permitting. Partial repairs are often done in a day. We’ll give you a written schedule before we start, and a live person answers the phone at (850) 780-8123 if you have questions mid-project.
We stock the current 80mm 3-piece modular pavers in the three common Dvele Miami colorways, and we keep matching joint sand and edge restraints on the truck. For discontinued textures and colors, we source compatible aftermarket pavers from Belgaard and Techo-Bloc, and we’ll show you the match before installation. Call (850) 780-8123 and send a photo of your paver’s underside code.
