ActiveYards Driveway & Pavers: The Miami Owner’s Guide
ActiveYards driveway and paver parts replacement in Miami typically runs $826 to $2,124 installed, depending on whether you’re swapping a single damaged paver, resetting a sunken section, or rebuilding a driveway edge that’s shifted. We stock common ActiveYards-compatible paver sizes, edge restraints, and base materials on our trucks, so most single-section repairs get done in one visit, not two. The way most Miami homeowners find out a part failed is the same way we diagnose it: a paver that wobbles underfoot, a low spot that fills with water after a summer downpour, or an edge that’s started creeping into the lawn.

We’re an independent service provider, not affiliated with ActiveYards, but we’ve worked with their paver and driveway systems across Miami long enough to know which parts fail first and why.
Which ActiveYards Models This Applies To

ActiveYards sells paver and driveway systems through a handful of series lines, and the compatibility gotcha is real: their 6 cm (2.36 in) residential pavers do not interchange with the 8 cm (3.15 in) commercial-grade units without adjusting your base depth. If you replace one with the other on an existing driveway, you’ll get a lip, and in Miami’s summer rain, that lip becomes a tripping hazard and a standing-water collector. Before you order anything, flip over one of your existing pavers. The mold number is stamped on the bottom face. Take a photo of it. Send it to us, or have it ready when you call (850) 780-8123. That single number tells us the series, the size, and which color batch your pavers came from.
OEM ActiveYards pavers cost more, and for color-match reasons, they’re worth it when you’re patching a visible section. But for edge restraints, polymeric sand, and base rock, a quality aftermarket equivalent from Belgard or Techo-Bloc does the same structural job for 15 to 30 percent less. We stock those brands on the truck and use them daily. Isaac Pruett’s rule is simple: match the paver, save on everything underneath it.

Signs Your ActiveYards Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Pavers rock or tilt when you step on them. This means the sand bedding layer under that spot has washed out or compacted unevenly. In Miami, heavy afternoon rain moves sand faster than most homeowners expect, and every storm makes the wobble worse.
- Water pools in one section for more than an hour after rain. That’s a low spot, usually from a small base failure underneath. Left alone in our wet season, it starts growing and pulls surrounding pavers down with it.
- The driveway edge is spreading into the grass or street. Edge restraints fail long before the pavers do. When the plastic or aluminum edge finally lets go, the pavers start drifting outward under vehicle weight, and you get that jagged, unraveling look.
- Weeds or grass are pushing up between pavers. That’s the polymeric sand breaking down. It was probably installed years ago, and Miami’s humidity plus UV exposure shortens its life to about five to seven years before it starts crumbling.
- You hear a crunch or see cracks on paver edges near the driveway mouth. The driveway entrance takes the hardest hit from tires turning. Once paver corners start snapping, water gets in, the sand washes out, and the damage accelerates.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
A single ActiveYards paver replacement in Miami runs $826 to $1,475 when we’re pulling one or two damaged units, re-bedding them, and re-sanding the joints. A larger section repair, like a sunken driveway apron or a spreading edge, lands between $1,650 and $2,124. And if you’re looking at a full driveway re-installation with new ActiveYards-compatible pavers, that’s a different scope, in line with our paver driveway installation range of $8,260 to $21,240.
Every quote includes the parts, the base material, hauling off the failed material, and the labor, all written before any work starts. No verbal numbers that grow on the final bill. Our workmanship warranty covers the repair for 365 days from the completion date, and if something shifts or fails in that window, we return and fix it at no charge. Written Price Before Any Work Starts is standard on every job, including a single-paver swap.

DIY or Call Us?
There are things worth checking yourself before you pick up the phone. Walk the driveway after a rain and mark the low spots with a stick or a piece of tape. Take photos of the stamped mold number on the paver bottom. Measure the rough square footage of the affected area. Those three steps take ten minutes and give us everything we need to give you a real number on the first call.
What we’d tell you not to do is pull pavers up and try to re-bed them yourself. The part most people skip is the base compaction. If you re-lay a paver on loose or washed-out base, it’ll fail again and look worse than it did. That’s the ‘quick fix’ Isaac Pruett gets called in to tear out more often than anything else in Miami. Call (850) 780-8123. We’ll tell you what it needs, what it costs, and when we’ll have it done.
FAQs

A properly installed ActiveYards paver driveway lasts 20 to 30 years in Miami, but the base and edge restraints need attention roughly every 7 to 10 years. The pavers themselves almost never fail first; the sand, the edge, and the base underneath them do.
A chipped paver can sometimes be flipped if the underside is intact, but a cracked one can’t. Cracks let water straight through to the base, and in Miami that means the paver next to it starts moving within a season or two. Replacing one or two pavers early is cheaper than rebuilding a section later. Call (850) 780-8123 for an exact quote.
A single-paver replacement takes about two to three hours including re-compaction and sanding. A section repair, like a sunken driveway edge, usually takes one full day. We’ll give you a written schedule with the quote and we mean it.
We stock the most common ActiveYards-compatible paver sizes and colors on our trucks, along with edge restraints, polymeric sand, and base rock. If your specific mold number or color isn’t on hand, we source it locally, usually within one to two business days in Miami.
