Plant Prefab Driveway & Pavers: The Miami Owner's Guide
We stock and install Plant Prefab-compatible driveway and paver systems throughout Miami, with most installations running between $8,260 and $21,240 depending on the size, paver grade, and base condition. We keep the common Plant Prefab paver profiles and edge restraints on the truck, and in most Miami neighborhoods we can have your driveway inspected and a written quote in hand within one visit. Most owners discover a problem the same way: a paver shifts under the car, water pools where it never did before, or the edge restraint pops loose after a heavy afternoon storm. If that sounds like your driveway, we can match what you have, tell you exactly what it costs, and get it put back right.

Which Plant Prefab Models This Applies To
Plant Prefab builds panelized homes, but the driveways and paver walkways on those projects use standard modular paver units: typically 60mm interlocking concrete pavers or 80mm permeable pavers when the property falls under Miami-Dade's stormwater rules. The compatibility gotcha we see most often is thickness. If your Plant Prefab home was permitted with a permeable driveway, you cannot swap in standard 60mm units without redoing the drainage layer beneath, and the inspector will catch it. Look at the paver edge itself: most manufacturers stamp the name and date code on the underside or on one side edge. If the stamp is worn off, measure the paver. 60mm units sit roughly 2 3/8 inches tall; 80mm units sit just over 3 inches. We match OEM units when the project needs to hold a specific warranty, and we use quality aftermarket equivalents from Belgard, Unilock, and Techo-Bloc when the original product is discontinued or when the homeowner wants a better paver than what was originally installed. Mason Remodeling Co Miami is an independent service provider and not affiliated with Plant Prefab.

Signs Your Plant Prefab Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Sunken or tilted pavers near the vehicle path. This usually means the sand bedding or base layer under the paver has washed out. In Miami, the limestone base we build on absorbs water fast, and a small dip becomes a spreading problem within a season.
- Weeds or grass pushing up between joints. That is the joint sand failing. Once organic material roots in, it holds moisture against the paver edges and accelerates cracking during our wet summer months.
- Water pooling on the surface instead of draining. Pavers settle unevenly as the base erodes, which changes the slope. If your Plant Prefab driveway was designed with a specific pitch toward a drain or swale, even a half-inch of settlement will hold water.
- Loose or broken edge restraint. The plastic or aluminum edging that pins the outside row loses its hold once the spikes rust or the base softens. Once the edge fails, the pavers walk outward under tire pressure and the whole field starts shifting.
- Crumbled or cracked pavers near the gutter or driveway apron. South Florida's heat and rain cycle expands and contracts concrete pavers, and the outside rows take the most abuse from standing water and sun. One cracked paver soon becomes several if the base below is holding water.

AfterReplacement Cost & What's Included
Full paver driveway installation in Miami runs from $8,260 to $21,240. A smaller repair or partial replacement, like rebuilding a 200-square-foot section of a sunken apron, usually falls between $4,130 and $8,260. What moves you within that range is drive size, paver material, whether we can reuse the existing base or have to excavate and rebuild it, and whether your property requires the permeable 80mm system. Every quote includes the pavers, edge restraint, bedding sand, base work, haul-off of old material, and a written line-item price before any work starts. We deliver that number in writing, and it does not move unless we uncover something structural that you authorize in writing first. The workmanship is covered for 365 days from the completion date under our Done Right Promise: if the driveway fails in that year, we return and make it right at no cost.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely inspect your own driveway. Walk it after a hard rain and mark where water pools. Push down on pavers near the edges and listen for movement. Look for sand washing out onto the street after storms. Those checks will tell you whether the problem is spreading, and they cost you nothing. What we would not do yourself is pull up sunken pavers and add sand. If the base below has failed, adding sand only hides the problem for a few months, and then you are paying to fix the original failure plus the top layer you disturbed. Replacing a field of pavers is heavy, repetitive work, and a paver that weighs 40 pounds does not care how strong your back is. If your driveway is sinking in the wheel path or holding water against the house, call (850) 780-8123 and we will come look at it. Tell me what you need done. I'll tell you what it costs and when it's finished – and I'll mean both.
FAQs

A properly installed paver driveway in Miami lasts 25 to 30 years, with the base layer doing most of the work. The pavers themselves hold up, but our heat and rain cycles mean you'll likely need joint sand replenished every 3 to 5 years and possibly an edge restraint replaced once or twice over that span. Call (850) 780-8123 for an exact assessment of your driveway's condition.
It depends on what has failed. If the pavers are intact but the bedding sand has washed out, we can often lift, re-bed, and re-sand the affected area for a fraction of a full replacement cost. If the base below has eroded or the drainage design is wrong, a patch will fail again and full rebuild is the honest answer. We'll tell you which one you have before we recommend spending a dollar.
Most standard 2-car Miami driveways take 3 to 5 working days from tear-out to finished surface. Permeable paver systems with the deeper base and drainage course usually add a day or two. We factor rain days into the schedule we quote, because Miami weather does not care about deadlines.
We keep common 60mm and 80mm pavers, edge restraints, base material, and joint sand stocked and on the truck for most repair calls. If your Plant Prefab home uses a specific paver we don't carry, we source it through our hardscaping partnerships with Belgard, Unilock, and Techo-Bloc, usually within a few business days. Call (850) 780-8123 and we can confirm what you have while you're on the phone.
