Bufftech Kitchen Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide
If you have a Bufftech product and something in your kitchen has failed, we stock the replacement parts and install them throughout Miami. A full Bufftech kitchen remodel in Miami typically runs $16,520 to $53,100, depending on cabinet count, countertop material, and how much of the existing layout stays put. Most homeowners discover the problem the same way: a drawer front wobbles, a hinge snaps, a cabinet box pulls loose from the wall, or a countertop seam opens after years of South Florida humidity working against the laminate or veneer.

We’re Mason Remodeling Co Miami, and we’ve been cutting out failed materials and rebuilding kitchens in this city for over a decade. We are an independent contractor, not affiliated with Bufftech, but we work with their cabinetry and hardware regularly. If you know the part, we’ll match it. If you don’t, we’ll identify it, price it in writing, and install it so it holds.
Which Bufftech Models This Applies To

Bufftech cabinetry appears in a wide range of builder-grade and mid-range Miami kitchens, and the compatibility question is where most owners get stuck. Bufftech boxes are typically frameless or semi-frameless, with 32mm European hinge boring, which means many standard Blume or Grass-style concealed hinges will fit. But the door profile thickness matters. Bufftech doors run between 5/8 inch and 3/4 inch, and a hinge cup bored for one depth will not sit flush on the other. Measure the door thickness before you buy anything.
The cabinet box itself is usually 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch particleboard with a melamine or thermofoil face. In Miami’s humidity, the failure point is almost always the bottom panel of a sink base cabinet or the back panel where moisture wicks up against drywall. We stock OEM-spec Bufftech drawer slides in the common 18 inch, 21 inch, and 24 inch lengths, plus quality aftermarket equivalents with the same 75 pound rating. The decision comes down to age. If the cabinet line is still in production, OEM makes sense. If it has been discontinued for years, a well-matched aftermarket slide or hinge will outlast the original hardware.

Signs Your Bufftech Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Drawer fronts sag or rub against the cabinet face. The roller bearings inside the slide have worn flat, or the mounting screw stripped out of the particleboard. This is the earliest and most common failure.
- Cabinet doors won’t stay closed or hang crooked. A broken hinge spring or a stretched hinge cup. The clip mechanism is plastic on many Bufftech hinges and fatigues after repeated temperature swings in Miami kitchens.
- The sink base cabinet floor feels spongy or shows swelling. Water has been wicking into the particleboard under the sink. By the time you see it, the bottom panel usually needs full replacement and the cabinet box needs bracing.
- Countertop seams near the sink have darkened or lifted. Humidity has gotten under the laminate edge or the seam adhesive has oxidized. This is common within 200 yards of Biscayne Bay and throughout Coconut Grove, where the salt air accelerates adhesive breakdown.
- Wall cabinets pull away from the wall or feel loose when you set dishes inside. The hanging rail was never screwed into studs, or the screws have eaten into soft drywall. We see this regularly in homes built between 1998 and 2008.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
In Miami, a full Bufftech kitchen remodel runs $16,520 to $53,100. That includes demolition, cabinet installation, countertops, plumbing and electrical adjustments, backsplash, and all finish work. A smaller kitchen, meaning a galley or condo layout under 100 square feet, falls between $10,620 and $23,600. If you only need cabinet installation, expect $4,720 to $15,340. Countertop installation alone runs $2,360 to $7,670.
What drives the range is material grade. Laminate countertops sit at the bottom. Quartz from Cambria or Silestone lands in the middle to upper range. Cabinet replacement costs more than cabinet refacing, and moving plumbing or electrical adds labor. Every quote we give is a written, line-item price delivered before any work starts. No verbal estimates, no final-bill surprises. The work is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise, which means if anything is not right within a year of completion, we make it right at no cost to you.

DIY or Call Us?
You can safely tighten a loose hinge screw, adjust a drawer slide tab, or replace a door bumper. Those are five-minute fixes with a screwdriver. What you should not attempt is pulling a cabinet box off the wall, cutting open a swollen sink base, or re-hanging a wall cabinet by yourself. A full upper cabinet with dishes weighs more than you think, and when it comes down, it takes drywall and sometimes a countertop with it. Isaac Pruett has seen enough DIY removals turn into emergency repairs to say this plainly: if the part involves the cabinet box or the wall connection, stop and call us.
We’ll send a crew you can verify. Every technician is background-checked, arrives in a clean marked uniform, and shows a photo ID badge at the door. You’ll get the name and photo of the person coming before the visit. Call (850) 780-8123 and tell us what you need done. We’ll tell you what it costs and when it’s finished, and we’ll mean both.
FAQs

In Miami’s climate, Bufftech cabinets with original hardware typically last 12 to 18 years before hinges, slides, or panels need attention. Cabinets themselves can last longer if the sink base is kept dry and the home’s AC runs consistently. Oceanfront and bayfront homes with salt air exposure trend toward the shorter end of that range.
It depends on the failure. Bad hinges, worn slides, and loose drawer fronts are straightforward repairs that cost far less than replacement. A water-swollen sink base floor or a split cabinet box usually needs the affected panel replaced and the box reinforced. We’ll tell you which one you need once we look at it, and the quote is free.
Most Bufftech kitchen remodels in Miami take 3 to 6 weeks from demolition to final walkthrough. Cabinet-only installs run 2 to 4 days. Countertop fabrication and install adds 1 to 2 weeks depending on material. You’ll get a written schedule with the quote, and we finish within the schedule we quote.
We keep common Bufftech-compatible hinges, drawer slides, and cabinet hardware in stock. Specialty panels, door fronts, and custom countertop material are ordered per job and arrive within 1 to 3 weeks. We also stock parts for KraftMaid cabinetry and work with Cambria and Silestone surfaces, which covers a lot of what we see in Miami kitchens.
