ViewLux Driveway & Pavers: The Miami Owner’s Guide
We stock and install ViewLux-compatible driveway and paver components throughout Miami, with typical paver driveway work running $8,260 to $21,240 depending on square footage, base condition, and pattern complexity. Most paver repairs and section replacements are done in one visit, often same-day for smaller failures. What usually brings a homeowner to this page: a sunken section near the garage apron, a cracked border course, standing water that never drained before, or pavers that shift underfoot after heavy rain. You have a ViewLux product that’s failing, and you want to know if it’s a fix or a full redo, what it costs, and who to call. Isaac Pruett and our crew answer with a written price before any work starts, every time.

Which ViewLux Models This Applies To

ViewLux driveway and paver systems typically fall into two groups: interlocking concrete pavers (60mm and 80mm thickness) used for driveways and walkways, and larger-format paver slabs (2cm and 3cm) used for patios, pool decks, and plaza-style driveways. The 80mm interlocking units are the workhorse for vehicle traffic; the 60mm version is walkway-rated and will fail prematurely under car weight. The compatibility gotcha we see in Miami: many driveways were originally installed with 60mm pavers to save material cost, and those fail along the tire tracks within 5 to 8 years. If you can measure the paver edge thickness with a tape measure, you’ll know which camp you’re in. For replacements, we match OEM ViewLux where the line is still produced; for discontinued series, we source quality aftermarket equivalents from Belgard and Techo-Bloc that match dimension and color within the same tolerance range.
A note for clarity: Mason Remodeling Co Miami is an independent service provider. We are not affiliated with ViewLux, and we don’t pretend to be. We work on ViewLux products every month, we know their failure patterns in South Florida weather, and we stock common replacement units and edge restraints on the truck.

Signs Your ViewLux Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Sunken or rutted tire tracks. The compacted base beneath the pavers has washed out or settled. In Miami’s sandy, high-water-table soil, this is the number one failure we see. The pavers themselves are usually fine; the foundation under them is not.
- Pavers that rock or shift when you step on them. Joint sand has washed away, or the edge restraint has pulled loose. Left alone, the pavers begin to drift, and gaps widen until the whole section needs resetting.
- Standing water that lingers for hours after rain. The original slope or grade has flattened out. ViewLux installs done without a proper 1% to 2% fall away from the house will pond, and ponding water works its way under pavers and accelerates base erosion.
- Border course separating from the field. The perimeter edge restraint has failed, usually a plastic strip that’s become brittle in Miami sun and heat. Once the border row loosens, the interior pavers follow within a season or two.
- White chalky residue on the paver surface. Efflorescence, salt deposits pulled up through the paver by moisture. It’s cosmetic in most cases and can be cleaned, but recurring heavy efflorescence means moisture is moving through the base, and that’s a structural warning sign.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
For Miami paver driveway work, you’re looking at $8,260 to $21,240 for paver driveway installation, $5,900 to $16,520 for driveway replacement, and $4,130 to $12,980 for paver patio work. The range comes down to three things: square footage, what we find under the existing pavers, and whether you want a straightforward field pattern or something with borders and inlays. Parts and labor are always quoted separately, line by line, so you see exactly what the units cost and exactly what the install costs. Every job gets a written price before we touch anything, and our 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the work: if it’s not right within a year of completion, we make it right at no cost to you. If a repair or install fails, the return visit is free. No dispute process. No conditions.
What we typically find under a failing ViewLux driveway in Miami: four to six inches of crushed concrete base that was never compacted in lifts, no geotextile fabric, and a plastic edge restraint that’s snapped in a dozen places. Half the cost of a proper fix is the base work you never see. The other half is what makes it last.

DIY or Call Us?
What you can safely check on your own: measure paver thickness, note where water ponds after a storm, and check whether the outer edge strip is cracked or pulling away. That information helps us price the job accurately over the phone. What you should not attempt: lifting and resetting a large section of pavers yourself. The base compaction and re-grading is the part that matters, and doing that by hand in Miami’s heat is how you end up with the same failure two years later, after a weekend of labor you’ll never get back. We also don’t recommend running heavy vehicles on a 60mm paver driveway while you decide; it accelerates the base failure and turns a repair into a replacement.
If you want a straight number, call (850) 780-8123. Tell us the square footage and what you’re seeing, and we’ll get you a written estimate. Tell me what you need done. I’ll tell you what it costs and when it’s finished, and I’ll mean both.
FAQs

In Miami’s climate, a correctly installed 80mm interlocking paver driveway lasts 25 to 30 years with basic joint sand top-ups every few years. We see 60mm installations fail along tire tracks within 5 to 8 years, and base failures from poor drainage can cut that shorter. The paver itself rarely wears out; what fails is what’s underneath it. Call (850) 780-8123 and we’ll tell you what you’re actually working with.
Section repairs are very common and are what we do most often: pull the affected area, recompact and re-grade the base, reset the pavers, and restore the joints. A full replacement is only necessary when the base has failed across most of the driveway or you want to upgrade from 60mm to 80mm units. We’ll quote both options so you can decide with real numbers in front of you. Estimates are free.
A typical section repair or reset runs one to two days, depending on size and weather. A full driveway replacement in Miami usually runs three to five working days. We schedule a start date, we show up when we say we will, and we work until it’s done.
We keep common 60mm and 80mm equivalents, edge restraints, joint sand, and base material on the truck for most service calls. If your ViewLux series is still manufactured, we order OEM units and have them on site before we start. For discontinued colors, we match from our supplier network, including Belgard and Techo-Bloc lines. Call (850) 780-8123 with your paver measurements and we’ll confirm availability before we schedule.
