Blanco Bathroom Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide
Blanco bathroom remodeling in Miami typically costs between $10,620 and $33,040 depending on the scope, whether you’re replacing a single failing component or rebuilding the entire bath. We stock Blanco-compatible faucet cartridges, sink strainers, drain assemblies, and mounting hardware on our trucks, so most single-part failures can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit. The most common way Miami homeowners call us: a Blanco faucet that drips constantly, a Blanco sink that won’t drain properly, or a Blanco shower system that’s lost pressure. One part fails, and suddenly the whole bathroom feels wrong.

We’re an independent Miami general contractor, not affiliated with Blanco. What that means for you: we can install any Blanco part you’ve already purchased, or we can source the OEM part and confirm compatibility before we ever cut into a wall or open a valve. Isaac Pruett and the crew at Mason Remodeling Co Miami have been working on Blanco-equipped bathrooms in Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Brickell, and Kendall for over a decade.
Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco makes several bathroom lines that show up constantly in Miami condos, older Coral Gables homes, and 1990s-era Kendall developments. The main series we service: Blanco Culina, Blanco Zerox, Blanco Linus, and Blanco Subline. Each has different drain diameters, different overflow configurations, and different faucet hole spacing. A Culina sink from 2008 might use a 3.5-inch drain while a 2015 Zerox uses a Euro-style 1.25-inch basket. Getting this wrong means a leak behind the vanity cabinet, and by the time you see that water stain, the cabinet base is already swelling.
Here’s the compatibility gotcha most Miami owners hit: Blanco changed its overflow design around 2017. Older models vent through a separate slot in the sink bowl. Newer ones route the overflow through the drain body itself. If you order a replacement drain assembly without checking your sink’s overflow type, the part won’t seat correctly. Your Blanco sink will have a model number etched or printed on the underside of the bowl. That number is the fastest way to confirm the right part. If a previous remodel buried the underside, we can identify the model from the visible bowl profile and drain configuration.
On the OEM versus aftermarket question: for Blanco faucet cartridges and internal valve bodies, we recommend OEM every time. The ceramic disc tolerances are tight, and aftermarket cartridges for Blanco faucets tend to develop a handle wobble within six to eight months. For sink strainers, pop-up assemblies, and P-trap connections, quality aftermarket equivalents from Kohler and Moen work fine and save you 30 to 40 percent. We’ll tell you which is which before any purchase.

Signs Your Blanco Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Constant faucet drip even with the handle fully closed. The ceramic disc cartridge inside the Blanco faucet body has a hairline crack or mineral scoring. Miami’s hard water accelerates this, especially in older unsoftened systems.
- Slow drain that gets worse over weeks, not days. Blanco drain assemblies collect hair and soap sludge at the pivot rod connection. The pop-up stopper still moves, but the opening narrows until water backs up.
- Water staining under the vanity or a musty smell near the cabinet. The overflow gasket between the sink and the drain body has dried out. Blanco gaskets are rubber; in Miami humidity and heat, they crack within five to seven years.
- Shower pressure drops in one fixture only. If the showerhead on a Blanco shower system loses flow but the tub spout stays strong, the diverter cartridge is worn. This is a thirty-minute fix if caught early.
- Sink basin flexes when you press on it. Blanco’s composite and ceramic sinks can develop stress cracks from improper mounting or shifting cabinetry. Miami’s older wood-frame homes settle, and a sink that was dead-level in 2010 might be carrying weight it wasn’t designed for now.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a single Blanco part replacement in Miami, expect to pay between $200 and $600 installed, including the part, labor, and disposal of the old component. Full bathroom remodels running Blanco fixtures start at $10,620 and top out around $33,040 for a complete gut with a walk-in shower, new vanity, tile work, and plumbing updates. The mid-range, around $18,000 to $24,000, covers a typical Miami 5-by-8-foot bath with Blanco sink and faucet, new shower valve, porcelain or ceramic tile, and a semi-custom vanity.
What drives the range in Miami specifically: access to shut-off valves (older condo buildings often require building maintenance to shut down risers, which adds scheduling time), the condition of the subfloor under the existing Blanco sink, whether walls need re-plumbing for a walk-in shower conversion, and permit requirements in your municipality. We give you a written price before any work starts. Not an estimate. A written price. If the job runs into hidden rot or outdated plumbing, we stop and tell you before spending another dollar.
Every Blanco bathroom remodel we complete in Miami carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If the work isn’t right within a year of completion, we fix it at no cost to the homeowner. That covers the tile work, the plumbing connections, the Blanco fixture installation, all of it.
DIY or Call Us?
There’s a safe middle ground here. You can check the model number on the underside of your Blanco sink. You can verify whether your faucet has a single-handle cartridge or a two-handle valve stem. You can clean a slow drain basket by hand. What you should not do: attempt to replace a Blanco cartridge without the right removal tool, because forcing it will score the faucet body and ruin the entire fixture. What you absolutely should not do: open any water line without knowing where the local shut-off is. In many Miami condos, the shut-off is behind an access panel in the hallway, not under the sink.

FAQs

In Miami’s hard water and humid conditions, a Blanco ceramic disc cartridge typically lasts six to nine years before mineral scoring causes drips. Gaskets and overflow seals run four to seven years. A well-maintained Blanco sink bowl itself can last 20 years or more. If your part is failing sooner, the issue is usually water quality or an installation error from a previous remodel.
Ceramic disc cartridges can sometimes be cleaned with a vinegar soak and re-lubricated, but in our experience this buys four to six months, not a real fix. Gaskets and seals cannot be repaired; once they crack, replacement is the only option. We’ll give you an honest recommendation on the phone before we schedule anything.
Most single-part replacements, like a faucet cartridge or drain assembly, take 45 to 90 minutes once we’re on site. A full Blanco bathroom remodel in Miami runs two to four weeks depending on the scope of tile work and plumbing changes. We give you a schedule in writing before we start, and we finish within the schedule we quoted.
We stock common Blanco cartridges, drain assemblies, and mounting hardware on our trucks, and we also carry parts for KraftMaid cabinets, Cambria, and Silestone surfaces when the remodel touches more than plumbing. If you need a less common Blanco component, we source it through our supplier network and confirm compatibility before ordering. Call (850) 780-8123 and give us the model number from the underside of your sink. We’ll have the right part identified before you hang up. Estimates are free, and so is the first phone call.
