Toto Construction in Miami, FL | Mason Remodeling Co Miami

We provide independent Toto service across Miami, from basic fill-valve replacements on a Drake II to full Bathroom Remodeling - Miami projects built around a Neorest 700H. The one thing that makes our Toto work here different is that we know exactly what Miami’s salt air, hard water, and 40-year recertification deadlines do to these fixtures before we ever open the tank. That’s not marketing copy. It’s what we’ve learned rebuilding bathrooms in Coral Gables, Morningside, and the Beach over well over a decade. Call (850) 780-8123 and tell us what you’re dealing with.

Why Miami Residents Choose Us for Toto Service

A remodeled hall bathroom with patterned floor tile and painted walls

We’re a remodeler that gets called when a “simple toilet swap” turns into something else. We’ve spent years tracing Toto fixture failures in Miami’s salt-spray condos and pre-1992 concrete-block homes, from leaky flange connections to corroded fill valves, so we know which retrofit parts and rough-in adjustments survive the humidity. Isaac Pruett, who runs our General Contractor in Miami, started with a framing hammer in Los Angeles and now reads Miami job sites the same way: find the real problem first, give a straight number, finish within the schedule.

You won’t get a long speech here. You’ll get a written price before any work starts, a name and photo of the technician who’s coming to your door, and a written guarantee on every Toto job we finish. If it’s not right within 365 days, we fix it. No dispute process, no charge.

We stock OEM Toto parts for critical sealing components, and we keep the more common retrofit pieces in our local inventory so Miami turnaround doesn’t stretch into weeks. If you’re replacing a full bath rather than repairing it, we also have specification-grade material access you won’t find at a parts counter. See our broader Toto sales & service page for more on what we carry.

Common Toto Construction Problems We Solve in Miami

Here’s what we actually see in Miami, versus what the manual says should happen:

  • Corroded fill valves and supply lines from salt air. Coastal Miami high-rises eat brass and chrome at a rate no other Florida market matches. A Toto that’s five years old in Brickell can look like it’s fifteen years old in Weston. We replace the valve, but we also upgrade the supply line to marine-grade braided stainless so we’re not doing the same call again in two years.
  • Rusted cast-iron closet flanges under mid-century slabs. Pre-1992 concrete-block homes and condos in Miami often have original cast-iron waste piping set right into the slab. Condensation and high groundwater rust the flange from below. The toilet rocks, the wax ring fails, and you get a slow leak you won’t see until the baseboard stains. We repair the flange ring and re-set the Toto properly.
  • Hard-water scale building up in flush valve gaskets. Miami’s limestone aquifer puts a lot of dissolved minerals into municipal water. Toto’s flush valve seals are precise, which means they don’t tolerate scale as forgivingly as some older American Standard or Gerber models. A gurgling Drake II is often a scaled gasket, not a clog. We fix the right thing.
  • Wood subfloor rot around tub and toilet rough-ins in older homes. The 1920s Mediterranean Revival and 1950s-70s ranch homes we work in Miami weren’t built with today’s waterproofing. A Toto toilet or bathtub replacement usually exposes damage in the subfloor or wall framing, especially after years of humid air and the occasional hurricane-driven water intrusion. We scope that before we set new fixtures.
  • Neorest electronics failing from power surges and salt exposure. On Miami Beach and in oceanfront condos, Neorest 700H control boards take a beating. Surge damage is common, and salt-air corrosion on connectors accelerates it. Once a Neorest is 8-10 years old and the board fails, the honest recommendation is replacement rather than repair. The electronics alone can exceed the price of a new high-efficiency Toto.

Every one of these is a different job, which is why our free estimate actually matters. See our Miami service area page for where we work.

Toto Service in Miami: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

A walk-in shower with large-format tile and a built-in niche

Here’s a fact that doesn’t show up on the Toto spec sheet: Miami’s mandatory 40-year structural recertification triggers a wave of bathroom remodels in the same permit window. Owners pull Toto fixtures and wall panels to expose original cast-iron drain stacks for pipe inspection, usually at the same time the building is filing recertification paperwork. We routinely re-set Toto toilets with new closet flanges onto aging copper waste lines in Coral Gables high-rises that are going through exactly that process right now. If your building got its recertification notice, your Toto plumbing is about to share a deadline with your structural engineer. We plan Toto work around that reality, not around a generic installation chart.

That’s the difference between someone who installs toilets and someone who understands why Miami buildings fail when they do. The 40-year recertification process is unique to Miami-Dade and Broward counties, and it reshapes every bathroom decision in older buildings. You don’t want to set a brand-new Neorest on a drain stack that fails the pipe inspection six months later.

Toto Models & Products We Service in Miami

We service the Toto lines most common in Miami bathrooms:

  • Toto Drake II (CST454CEFG) – the workhorse in mid-century Miami homes and condos. We keep flush valve gaskets and fill valve assemblies on hand.
  • Toto Ultramax II (MS604114CEFG) – the one-piece with the tornado flush. We see these a lot in newer condo remodels, and we know the rough-in requirements cold.
  • Toto Neorest 700H – the integrated washlet with the auto-flush and heated seat. Most Neorest work we do in Miami is sensor calibration, surge replacement, and honest replacement guidance when the board fails.
  • Toto Eco Soiree (CST424SF) – the skirted trapway model that shows up in guest baths and powder rooms throughout Miami. That skirt makes the rough-in angle critical, and we’ve done enough of them to know what’s unforgiving.

On the parts side, we use OEM Toto components for sealing surfaces and flush mechanisms because aftermarket equivalents don’t hold the same tolerance. For supply lines and some hardware, we substitute a higher-spec aftermarket part that beats OEM for Miami conditions. We’re not a manufacturer-authorized service provider, and we won’t pretend to be. We’re an independent contractor who knows these models well enough to give you a straight recommendation.

Toto Service Pricing in Miami

A remodeled hall bathroom with subway tile and a floating vanity

Here’s what we charge for Toto-related bathroom work in Miami. These are real ranges, not teaser numbers:

Service Price Range
Bathroom Remodel $10,620 – $33,040
Small Bathroom Remodel $5,900 – $14,160
Bathtub Replacement $4,130 – $11,800
Walk-In Shower Installation $5,310 – $14,160
Bathroom Vanity Installation $945 – $3,540

What drives the spread is what’s behind the wall when we open it. A vanity install in a 1990s condo goes at the low end. A bathtub replacement in a 1960s Coral Gables high-rise with original cast iron drains won’t. Your free estimate includes a real look at the waste lines, floor framing, and supply piping, not a phone quote with a disclaimer. Call (850) 780-8123 and we’ll send you a written line-item price before any tool is unpacked.

Why Does My Toto Drake II Gurgle After a Miami Afternoon Rain, Even Though the Toilet Isn’t Clogged?

That gurgle is almost never a clog in Miami. It’s usually a vent stack issue combined with scale buildup on the flush valve gasket. Miami’s afternoon thunderstorms drop a lot of water on flat roofs quickly, and some of that water finds its way into aging vent stacks that weren’t flashed properly originally. The rain water sitting in the vent stack changes air pressure in the drain line, and your Drake II’s flush valve seal, already stiffened by hard-water scale from Miami’s limestone water supply, lets air slip past. You hear it as a gurgle. The fix is to clean or replace the flush valve gasket and make sure the vent stack is clear and properly flashed. Call (850) 780-8123 for an exact diagnosis and quote.

Can You Replace the Auto-Flush Sensor on a Toto Neorest 700H Without Touching the Wall Behind It?

Usually yes. The auto-flush sensor on the Neorest 700H is accessed from the top or side of the unit, not through the wall. You don’t need to open the wall cavity unless the wiring for the sensor runs through the wall and it was run incorrectly at installation. On oceanfront Miami condos where wall access is often concrete block or finished with tile, that’s the good news. We’ve done this in Miami Beach condos where touching the wall would have meant redoing tile. Bring the unit’s model number and serial number when you call, and we’ll confirm which sensor revision you have.

My Toto Eco Soiree Randomly Flushes by Itself at Night. Is That a Miami Power Surge Issue?

Possibly, but more often it’s a sensor sensitivity or float setting problem. Miami power quality is erratic, especially in older buildings with shared transformer banks and air conditioners cycling all night. A brief voltage dip can confuse the Eco Soiree’s electronic flush mechanism and trigger a ghost flush. However, we also see this when the flush rod or float is misadjusted and thermal expansion in Miami’s overnight temperature swings moves it just enough to trip the flush. We check the electric supply and the mechanical adjustment both. Call (850) 780-8123 and we’ll pin down which one it is.

Will a Toto Drake II Fit the Same Rough-In as My Original 1960s Toilet in a Miami Mid-Century Home?

In most cases, yes. The Drake II uses a standard 12-inch rough-in, which matches most 1960s toilets in Miami concrete-block ranch homes. The issue is not the rough-in measurement. It’s the condition of the closet flange and the floor around it. Mid-century Miami homes often have the original brass or cast-iron flange set in a concrete slab, and after 60 years of slab moisture it’s rusted thin or cracked. We’ve done this exact swap in Morningside and the Upper East Side enough to know the toilet will fit, but the flange work is the real job. We verify flange condition as part of the free estimate.

Why Do All the Toto Fill Valves in Our Coral Gables High-Rise Fail Around the Same Time?

Because building-wide water pressure and water chemistry affect every unit identically, and Toto fill valves use a seal design that’s precise but less forgiving of sediment and scale than some older valve designs. In Coral Gables high-rises, especially the ones from the 1960s and 1970s, the municipal water can carry fine limestone sediment that wears the fill valve diaphragm at a predictable rate. If your building hasn’t had a pressure-reducing valve service or a water softener added, every unit gets the same wear pattern. We often replace multiple Toto fill valves in the same building within a season. Call (850) 780-8123 if you want us to check yours before it becomes a midnight flood.

FAQs – Toto Construction in Miami

Are you an authorized Toto dealer or manufacturer service provider?
No. We’re an independent contractor and remodeler. We buy OEM parts through official channels, but Toto does not authorize us to perform warranty work or represent ourselves as a factory service center. What we offer is hands-on field knowledge of these specific models in Miami conditions, plus a written price and guarantee on the work we do.

Do you use OEM Toto parts or aftermarket ones?
We use OEM Toto parts for flush valve gaskets, fill valve assemblies, and other sealing components where tolerance matters. We may substitute aftermarket parts for supply lines and some mounting hardware where a higher-spec part does better in Miami’s salt air and hard water. We’ll tell you which is which, and why, before we do the work.

How long does a typical Toto toilet installation take in Miami?
Plan on half a day for a straightforward swap with no floor or flange work. If we find rusted flanges, slab moisture damage, or subfloor rot, which is common in older Miami buildings, expect a full day or more. We’ll have that conversation with you during the estimate, not after we’ve pulled the old toilet.

Which Toto models do you recommend for Miami’s water and climate?
For most Miami homes and condos, the Drake II is the smart buy. The parts are common, the flush is strong, and it handles older rough-ins well. If you want the integrated washlet features and have clean power, a Neorest 700H is a good fit. For a powder room with a skirted trapway, the Eco Soiree works. For salt-air coastal buildings, any Toto works, but the supply lines and any exposed metal hardware deserve an upgrade.

What does it cost to replace a Toto Drake II in Miami?
A basic Drake II replacement, with new supply line and wax ring, starts around $945 and can go higher if the flange needs repair. A full bathroom remodel built around a new Toto in Miami runs $10,620 to $33,040 depending on what’s behind the walls.
